Northwest Community Credit Union launched a new iTech Northwest application called CastMyVote.net yesterday. The application is available to all of NWCU’s members who are 18+ and in good standing with the credit union.
I spent a little over a month on and off working on this application. I’m extremely happy with the results.
One of the requirements for the site was to allow a member to call our phone branch and cast their vote. I built a several web services into the site to populate a InfoPath form with candidate information. I needed to capture information about the person voting for the member, so I also built web services on an internal servers to provide Active Directory integration to the InfoPath form.
Here’s a screen shot of the InfoPath form:
I love the fact that I can update CastMyVote’s backend and the data flows down into the secure InfoPath form requiring no maintenance on the form. Very cool stuff.
If you’re a member of NWCU, please click on over to the election web site and vote. You have until midnight on March 31st.
